Het Deense duo The Wands keert volgende maand terug naar de benelux om hun debuutalbum 'The Dawn” te promoten. Een plaat die hun flamboyante hallucinogene acid rock laat horen. Voortgekomen uit ideeën en, zoals sommigen zouden zeggen hun oldschool ethos wat betreft opnamen, recht toe recht aan, alles in een keer op tape te knallen, versterkt door hun analoge gear. Het duo, bestaande uit jeugdvrienden Christian Skibdal en Mads Gras, reanimeren '60 stijl Psych -rock en injecteren dit met een karakteristiek speelse Wands inslag. Het tweetal bracht in 2012 een eerste EP Hello I Know The Blow You Grow Is Magic uit, vijf rauwe nummers gedrenkt in trage, psychedelische reverb, echo en kraaiende vocalen die recht uit de garage komen. Een uitgebreide Europese tournee was de logische volgende stap, inclusief een optreden op het befaamde Liverpool Psych festival.
